Don F DeFoor, PC

Don DeFoor is a real estate attorney in Douglasville, Georgia.  Don has been practicing law in Douglas County and serving Douglasville and the surrounding communities for over 35 years.  He specializes in residential and commercial Real Estate closings but can also assist with Title Insurance Issues, Probate Matters concerning Estates/Wills, Document Preparation, Deed Prep, Title Searches, and Business/Organization Formations.  


Don obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, and obtained his Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia.  He has been a Member in Good Standing of the State Bar since 1969.  Don is on the Board of Caroll Electric Membership Cooperative (EMC), a member of the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Haralson County Chamber of Commerce, Douglas County Bar Association, and the Rotary Club of Bremen. 


In his spare time, Don enjoys working on his ranch in Temple, Georgia and doing rodeo events like team roping.  He is an active member and the treasurer of his church, Bremen First United Methodist Church.

Shawn P Horan, Esquire

Shawn Horan is a real estate attorney in Douglasville, Georgia.  Shawn has been practicing law in Douglas County for over twenty years, and is currently “of counsel” with Don F. Defoor, P.C.  In addition to real estate law, Shawn also handles Estate Planning and Probate of Estates for his clients.


Shawn obtained his undergraduate degree in International Studies at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  Shawn is a member of the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce, the American Bar Association, Douglas County Bar Association, and the West Georgia Board of Realtors.  When he is not working, Shawn enjoys playing sports, boating, and traveling with his wife and four children.

K Paul Ellison, Esquire

Paul Ellison is a real estate attorney in Douglasville, Georgia.  Paul has been practicing law in Douglas County for over 6 years, and is currently “of counsel” with Don F. Defoor, P.C.  In addition to real estate law, Paul also handles Estate Planning and Probate of Estates for his clients.  He is licensed with the State Bar of Georgia and the State Bar of Alabama.


Paul obtained his undergraduate degree at Southen Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Georgia, and obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia.
